His parents are Dr. James Norman Hiddleston, who is a physical chemist and had also liaised with Oxford University as a former managing director of a biotechnology company. His mother is Diana Patricia Hiddleston, who is a former stage manager. Quite fortuitously, his sister Emma is an actress while Sarah works as a journalist in India.
