Emery Kelly

Background

Emery Mikeal Thomas Kelly was born in the United States on December 28, 1997, in New York City, New York. He has a sister named Veronica who appeared alongside him in a sibling tag video on YouTube. He rose to fame in 2013 when participated in the reality competition program “The X Factor.” Despite being eliminated from the show, the judges remained impressed with him. Kelly along with other contestants Ricky Garcia and Jon Klaasen was given the opportunity to establish the pop group, ‘Forever in Your Mind’ (F.I.Y.M.), which released ‘She Lights the World,’ their first single in 2013.

Klaasen quit the group in June 2014, and Kelly’s cousin Liam Attridge took his place. The band collaborated on several projects and put out a few tracks in 2015. They released their song ‘Sweet Little Something’ in March 2015. In December 2015, the music video, “Wrapped Up for Christmas,” was released. Kelly and his bandmates traveled on the DigiTour alongside Demi Lovato and other pop stars in the same year. On July 1, 2016, Hollywood Records issued their debut EP, titled “FIYM.” ‘Hurricane,’ the E.P.’s lead single, had been made available in April 2016. They then released the single ‘Smooth’ in April 2017. The group’s second E.P., “Euphoric,” was published in January 2018.

Kelly featured in the Netflix series “Alexa & Katie” and has appeared in some T.V. shows and in an attempt to break into the film industry. Kelly is also an excellent gamer and athlete. Kelly began his acting career by playing Logan in the television series “Lab Rats.” Then, he played Dax in an episode of the T.V. show “Dog with a Blog,” titled “You’re Not My Sister Anymore.” Additionally, he made an appearance in the Disney Channel shows “Best Friends Whenever” and “Forever Boys.” He starred as Lucas Mendoza, the main character, in the Netflix comedy series “Alexa & Katie” in 2018. He also appeared in the movie “Reach” that same year.
