Natalie Guercio

Background

Natalie Guercio was born on December 22, 1982, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in South Philadelphia, inside the Carto Funeral Home, which is known on the streets as Philadelphia’s preferred funeral home for mob families. Her grandmother currently owns the business, which her family has run since the 1950s. Guercio enrolled at Empire Beauty School in 2003. She received her diploma in 2004 and began working as a freelance hairstylist and makeup artist.

Guercio’s funeral home career was solidified in 2010 when she enrolled at American Academy’s McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. That same year, she was named C.E.O. of her family’s funeral home, Carto Funeral Home. Guercio appeared on the VH1 reality T.V. show “Mob Wives” from 2013 to 2015, a show that follows a group of women after their family members are arrested and imprisoned for alleged mafia-related crimes. She appeared in 25 episodes during the fourth and fifth seasons of the show. Because they are both from South Philadelphia, Guercio and reality star Alicia Dimichele knew each other’s families before the show.

Guercio, as an entrepreneur, has placed a strong emphasis on associating her brand with the businesses in which she invests. She promotes female empowerment themes and targets millennials, mothers, and entrepreneurs who share her interests. Guercio’s keen fashion sense, love of health and wellness, philanthropic spirit, and entrepreneurial spirit have catapulted her to introduce and effectively manage several businesses, including her domestic violence initiative and, most recently, Hair On Fleek, an organic hair care line.
