Big Tigger

Background

Big Tigger was born as Darian Morgan in New York’s Co-op city in the U.S. He has an African-American father and a Jamaican mother. The names of his parents are not known. As he keeps his personal life rather private, we do not know if he has any siblings.

He spent the majority of his formative years in Co-op city. He completed his early education at Wheaton High School. During his teenage years, he dedicated a lot of time to playing basketball. While growing up, he developed a knack for rapping and learned the craft under the mentorship of a local D.J. named Rob Lasky. Eventually, he followed the footsteps of Lasky and began working at a radio station as a D.J. The radio station was based in Baltimore, Maryland, and was called WERQ. Thereafter, he was enrolled at the University of Maryland and started interning for a radio station named WPGC in Washington D.C. When performing this gig, he became one of the popular hosts, and the internship soon developed into a full-time career path.

In 1996, he entered the world of television by doing voiceovers for a cable channel. Thereafter, he became the co-host of “Rap City,” eventually becoming its sole video jockey. He parted ways with the show in 2005 when he started dipping his toes in the world of rap. He started his rap career with R. Kelly and collaborated with various other artists. In 2013, he gained popularity as the host of “The Den with Big Tigger.”
