Background

Ashley Benson was born on December 18, 1989, in Anaheim Hills, California. Shannon and Jeff Benson are her parents. Shaylene, her older sister, is her only sibling. When she was very young, she became proficient in numerous dance genres, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical. She had already modeled for several dance catalogs by the age of five. By 1999, Benson had taken up acting and had modest appearances in some commercials, films, and television productions.

She got a three-year deal to play a character on the NBC daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” in 2004. Benson made her big-screen debut in the film “13 Going On 30” the same year, in which she played a supporting role. In 2007, she starred in “Carson in Bring It On: In It to Win It,” the fourth episode of the “Bring It On” franchise. She debuted as Mia, a teenage daughter, in the ABC television series “Eastwick” in 2009. Although the show was canceled due to low ratings, it has subsequently developed a cult following. Benson signed a deal to star in the mystery-thriller teen drama series “Pretty Little Liars.” Following the series’ tremendous success, she played opposite Christina Milian and Chad Michael Murray in the television film “Christmas Cupid” (2010). In 2012, she appeared in the movie “Spring Breakers,” which marked her return to the big screen. She also participated in an episode of the popular reality television show “Punk’d” that same year. In the years that followed, she made prominent appearances in film and television in both lead and supporting roles.

In 2018, Benson appeared opposite Elisabeth Moss, Cara Delevingne, and Dan Stevens in “Her Smell.” She appeared in music videos such as ‘Can’t Wait’ and ‘Imagine (Quarantine Edition)’ in 2019 and 2020, respectively. She began dating Ryan Good in 2011, and the two had an on-again-off-again romance for a while. She dated English model and actress Cara Delevingne from May 2018 to April 2020.
