Manu Ríos

Background

Manuel Ríos Fernández, popularly known as Manu Ríos, was born on December 17, 1998, in Calzada, Calatrava, Spain, to Manoli and Julian Ríos. He has an older brother named Josemy, and his family has two dogs named Currillo and Howard. Ríos’ journey to stardom began when he was only nine years old. A chance phone call from the production team of the T.V. show “Cantando en Familia” changed the course of his life forever. He passed the audition and made his first appearance on the show on April 29, 2008.

Ríos has not stopped working since his debut. In 2010, he got chosen to participate in the national television show “Tú sí que vales,” which provided him with additional exposure and allowed him to display his dancing talent. He made it to the show’s semi-final round. He was also cast in the T.V.E. musical show “Cántame cómo pasó.” Later that year, Ríos played Gavroche in the internationally known musical “Les Miserables” at an internationally renowned Spanish theater in Madrid. Ríos was a member of the new Parch’s teen band and appeared in the 2012 musical “Don Pepito.”

Ríos played Mauri in five episodes of the comedy television show “Pepe’s Beach Bar” in 2014. After appearing on the show, he decided to take a break from acting and concentrate on his studies. Ríos was cast as Blanco in the fourth season of the Netflix T.V. series “Elite” in 2021, and he eventually became a main character on the show and starred in the fifth season. Ríos appeared as Marcus in the T.V. miniseries “La Edad de la Ira” in 2022. The show follows a boy suspected of murdering his father and the long-hidden issues that emerge.
