Joshua Ricardo Norman popularly known as Josh Norman, born December 15, 1987, is a professional American Football player, who plays cornerback in the National Football League N.F.L. Norman is currently with the San Francisco 49ers but previously turned out for the Washington Redskins and the Carolina Panthers. His career started in 2012. He won the South Carolina State Championship at Greenwood High School before proceeding to play his college football at Coastal Carolina where he was named third-team A.P. All-American in 2009 and a first-team A.P. F.C.S. All-American in 2011. Norman was drafted 143 overall in the 2012 N.F.L. draft.

He attended Coastal Carolina University where he played football during his freshman year. After performing well in his first season he was offered a scholarship, and over the next few years, he became one of the country’s top cornerbacks.
In 2012, the Carolina Panthers selected Norman as the 143rd pick overall in the N.F.L. draft. His first-ever interception at the pro-level game against the Chicago Bears was when he picked Jay Cutler. His career took a hit in 2013 when he struggled to feature regularly, falling behind on the depth chart behind Captain Munnerlyn, Drayton Florence, and Melvin White. However, in 2014, he redeemed himself and ended the season as the fourth-best cornerback in the N.F.L.
He enjoyed a memorable season in 2015 with the Carolina Panthers, recording 56 tackles, 18 passes defended, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries, which guaranteed him his first invitation to the Pro Bowl.
