Faith Hill was born on September 21, 1967, in Ridgeland, Mississippi, north of Jackson, Mississippi. She is an American singer and record producer and is one of the most successful country music stars in history. Her singing talent was apparent from an early age and her parents, Edna and Ted Perry helped her develop her skills. Because of her talent as a singer, she has won five Grammy Awards, among a bevy of other awards.

At the age of 19, Faith Hill left school and her studies and moved to Nashville. In Nashville, she pursued her passion of being a country singer. Around 1988, she was working in a music publishing company as a secretary when one fine day, her co-worker heard her singing to herself. This opened a door for her to pursue her passion.

In 1993, Hill released her debut album “Take Me As I Am,” which was a big hit and she became the first female singer in 30 years to hold the number one position on the Billboard music chart for four consecutive weeks. Her second album, titled “It Matters to Me,” was released in 1995 and was almost as popular as “Take Me As I Am.” She went on to tour with her fellow country singer, Tim McGraw, in 1996. Hill and McGraw fell in love during their tour and got married in 1996. After years of touring, Hill decided to take a break from releasing music to start a family with McGraw. This break lasted three years. In 1998, Hill released an album titled “Faith” and “Breathe” shortly after 1999. In 2007, Hill started working on her “Greatest Hits” album, after having released five iconic studio albums since 1993.

Hill also appeared in several films and T.V. shows throughout her career. The first of which was a cameo in the popular 1997 show, “Touched by an Angel.” She made her film debut in 2004 when she co-starred alongside Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick, and Glenn Close in a remake of “The Stepford Wives.” Hill continues to record music and she even signed with a new record company in 2017. While with this company, she released an album with her husband titled “The Rest of Our Lives.”
