He began studying art at the young age of 8 and eventually attended the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. There, he trained in traditional academic drawing, painting, and animation. He later interned at George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic. The independent artist went on to found Massive Black, an art development company in Los Angeles. In 2003, Jones stumbled into a dome at Burning Man, El Circo, an experience that changed his outlook on life.
Jones began his work as an independent artist in 2005. He, along with a few friends he made in El Circo, went on to create digital art projections onto landmark sites like the Empire State Building in New York City. In 2016, he met many great psychedelic artists at a party called SynerGenesis. Jones described it to be “the big bang of the visionary arts movement.” Two years later, Jones was invited to create an exhibition to represent the Burning Man Project at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The exhibition was called “No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man.” Jones’ art has been featured on several album covers for artists such as Bluetech, Beats Antique, Tipper, Sporeganic, Phutureprimitive, and Bassnectar.
