He is most known for being the founder, youngest member, and rapper of the R&B boy band B2K. The musician from New Orleans, Louisiana says that he is inspired by the rapping celebrities such as Eminem, Jay-Z, and Biggie Smalls. Dreux Pierre Frédéric was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Los Angeles, California. Lil’ Fizz formed the boy band B2K, an acronym for Boys of the New Millennium in 1998. Fellow rappers J-Boog and Raz-B were also a part of it, with Omarion joining in 1999. B2K made a cameo in Lil’ Bow Wow’s ‘Ghetto Girls’ music video and was the opening act on the Scream Tour I. From 2000 to 2004 when the band broke up, they released several albums and singles, among which are “B2K” and “Pandemonium” in 2002.
In 2003, Lil’ Fizz appeared in the movie “You Got Served” along with his fellow B2K members. However, in 2004, the group broke up due to internal disagreements. After the group split, Lil’ Fizz launched his independent singing career. He released his debut E.P. titled “Payday” in July 2007. Later in 2009, he launched a new record label called Popular Entertainment in collaboration with his business manager friend Damuer H. Leffridge and former fellow B2K member J-Boog. Under this label, Lil’ Fizz released his E.P. “Night Life” in 2009. In the same year, he starred in “Steppin: The Movie.” B2K announced in December 2018 that after 15 years, they would finally reunite for “The Millennium Tour” in 2019. They did a three-month city tour in March, April, and May of 2019, which featured all four members of B2K plus several other mid-2000s, urban artists.
Lil’ Fizz has had his fair share of run-ins with the law. One instance is the custody battle with his estranged ex-girlfriend, Moniece Slaughter, for his son, Kamron. Also in 2011, Lil’ Fizz was accused by the State of California of being involved in operating a marijuana store called Little Amsterdam dispensary for almost a year and a half.
