Garland Brown

Background

Garland Brown is famous for being a participant in the second season of the reality show “Are You the One?”. What many people might not know, however, is that earlier in his life before fame, he was a librarian at a museum and also worked as a medical collector at a call center. Later on, he did side gigs while pursuing a modeling career in New York City. Today apart from being a model, Brown is also an ambassador for brands such as Goligummy.

When he was 22, he joined the show “Are You the One?” in its second season in 2013. In the end, Jessica Andreatta was revealed to be his Perfect Match but the pair did not continue with a romantic relationship. “Are You the One?” (often abbreviated as A.Y.T.O.?) is an American reality television series produced by MT.V., in which young single people try to find love. Producers secretly pair a group of men and women into couples through a matchmaking algorithm. As the group lives together, the contestants try to identify these “perfect matches.” The entire group wins a collective prize of up to $1 million if they succeed.

Throughout each season, the contestants go on dates with partners decided by competitions (or the “fate button” in the seventh season). They later learn in the “truth booth” if a couple is a correct match. A perfectly matched couple goes to the honeymoon suite and gets automatically paired up for the remainder of the match ceremonies.
