LiAngelo Robert Ball is a professional American basketball player, who plays the shooting guard position for the Greensboro Swarm of the N.B.A. G League. Born November 24, 1998 in Anaheim, California, United States, Ball was born to LaVar and Tina Ball. Interestingly, both of his parents are former college basketball players. While his father played for Washington State and Cal State Los Angeles, his mother played for the latter. With such athletic parents, Ball had an early start to his career, already working out and training by the young age of four.

He started out playing basketball and flag football with his brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo on Big Ballers VXT, an Amateur Athletic Union (A.A.U.) team created by their father. In Chino Hills High School where Ball attended, he played basketball for four years, part of the team that brought the school its first CIF Southern Section Open Division Championship game. As a high school sophomore, Ball pledged to play college basketball for the University of California, L.A. (U.C.L.A.) Bruins in 2015, a pledge which he fulfilled by signing a letter of intent on November 2, 2016 and on June 1, 2017, he enrolled at the university. Unfortunately, Ball was suspended from the U.C.L.A. basketball program as a result of a case of alleged theft, which occurred only days before a match in China on November 7, 2017. This incident prompted Ball to withdraw from the team because of the prolonged suspension.

On December 11, 2017, Ball moved on and signed with Prienai of the Lithuanian Basketball League. After a few more stints in teams like the Oklahoma City Blue, the Detroit Pistons, and the Charlotte Hornets, Ball was finally selected by the Greensboro Swarm on October 23, 2021.
