Background

Peter Michael Davidson is an absolute sweetheart loved by many worldwide. He was born in New York to Amy and Scott Davidson. Davidson lost his father, a firefighter who died in service during the 9/11 attacks in the United States. At such a young age, it was the most overwhelming thing Davidson had experienced, leading him to rip his hair out until he turned bald. Davidson is of Jewish and Irish ancestry and was raised as a Catholic. He schooled at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School and graduated from Brooklyn’s Xaverian High School in 2011. He went on to enroll at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, and after a semester, he made up his mind to be a comedian. His first try-out at stand-up comedy was in a Staten Island bowling alley at 16.

His first on-screen appearance was on the third episode of the M.T.V. series “Failosophy” in 2013. That same year, he had his first television stand-up aired on season two of the Comedy Central program, “Gotham Comedy Live.” Davidson subsequently made more stand-up appearances on television and appeared in “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘’N Out.” He joined “Saturday Night Live” in 2014 and at the age of 20, Davidson was one of the youngest cast members to join S.N.L. His first time on the show gathered positive responses, with his most popular skits during the season being an Indiana Jones-style sketch which he performed along with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In 2015, Davidson participated in the “Comedy Central Roast” of Justin Beiber. In 2016, he was on the “Forbes” 30 under 30 list, and in April, he filmed his first stand-up special, “Pete Davidson: S.M.D.,” on Comedy Central. In 2020, Davidson released a stand-up special, “Alive from New York,” on Netflix. Davidson has also had his fair share in the Hollywood movie industry. In August 2021, Davidson acted as a Blackguard in “The Suicide Squad.” In 2022, Davidson voiced Marmaduke in an animated movie by Netflix. Davidson’s last time on S.N.L. was announced shortly before its finale in its 47th season.

Davidson’s history in the dating ring is undoubtedly one that many men envy. He has been praised by several people worldwide. In 2014, he dated Carly Aquilino and moved on to date Cazzie David from 2016 to 2018. In May 2018, Davidson started dating singer Ariana Grande, and in June, they both confirmed they were engaged but called it off in October 2018. In 2019, Davidson was in a relationship with actress Kate Beckinsale, who was 20 years older than him, but they called off their relationship in April that same year. In October 2019, he started dating model Kaia Gerber till January 2020. In 2021 Davidson dated “Bridgerton” actress Phoebe Dynevor, but they called it quits in August 2021. He most recently dated reality star, Kim Kardashian. Davidson is the godfather to Leo, the son of Ricky Velez, his fellow comedian.
