Background

Max Hype was born in the beautiful state of California, U.S. He is a well-known producer in the bass music scene. With over 17,000 followers, Hype is one of the U.S.’s most popular influencers. He was a dub hop D.J. best known for his original mixes ‘Bigger Than You and Me’ and ‘Brick,’ as well as remixes of ‘Rubber Bands’ and ‘Vulture.’ Hype and Swedish D.J. Liquid Stranger are represented by Warpath Group management.

According to Hype, the concept of running his label has always been his dream. He decided to use his social media platforms and organic growth to build his music brand. After saving for a while, he decided to take that project off the ground, and as the first step, he and his friend created the “knuckle paw,” which is now his signature logo. Following that, it was simply a matter of getting enough of his releases onto the label to gain traction before deciding to approach others about bringing the music to Underdog Records.

Only a few artists in the bass world produce the same amount of creative genius as Hype. He has spent this last decade building his portfolio and putting out some of the bass scene’s heaviest tracks including collaborations with world-famous artists like Excision and Dirt Monkey as well as solo features on labels including Spinnin’ Records and Deadbeats. His achievements and accomplishments and creative pursuits don’t stop there, there’s so much more this talented producer has got under his belt.
