Sukihana

Background

Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, U.S., Sukihana spent her childhood in different places, including Philadelphia and Atlanta, Georgia, before her family moved to Miami, Florida. She went to a creative arts school called Kuumba Academy Charter School, where she studied ballet, acting, and musical theater.

Sukihana made appearances at small gigs throughout her teenage years and early 20s. She started making YouTube videos in 2016. Since then, her YouTube channel has amassed over 217k subscribers. Some of her channel’s most popular videos include “Sukihana Best of Me Freestyle” and “Funniest Clips of Sukihana Part 1,” which have gained hundreds of thousands of views. Her YouTube channel continued to grow and went viral with the release of the “Kodak Snack” video, in which she remixed Kodak Black’s music. In 2018, she was featured in Cuban Doll’s music video titled “Drug Dealer.” Between 2017 and 2019, she released songs, such as ‘Don’t Push Me,’ ‘Y U Mad,’ and ‘Hood Rat.’

Sukihana posted a video on her social media channels lamenting the terms of her music contract. In the video, she mentioned that she had sold her soul to the devil and urged other musicians to be careful in the industry. She concluded that she would quit music for good to focus on her education, but she eventually went back to music.

In 2020, she released two songs, titled ‘Pretty and Ratchet’ and ‘All in Your Throat.’ She also appeared as a guest on “The Jerry Springer Show.” Sukihana finally made her name as part of the cast in the third season of “Love and Hip-Hop: Miami.” On August 7, 2020, Sukihana made a cameo appearance in Cardi B’s music video for her single ‘WAP.’
