Ian Harding

Background

Ian Harding was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on September 16, 1986, to American parents. His mother’s name is Mary Harding, who worked as a cardiology nurse. On the other hand, his father, Stephen Harding, is a journalist with a specialization in military affairs. He is also an author with a New York bestseller to his credit. The youngest in the family, Harding has an older sister named Sarah.

When he was still young, the family relocated to Virginia, where he attended Georgetown Preparatory School located in Maryland. Growing up, Harding developed an inclination toward drama and decided to join his school’s drama club. Later, his class chose him to deliver the commencement address, thereby accepting his leadership. He grew very fond of acting and started giving performances during his years in high school.

When Harding was a senior in high school, he gave auditions for various acting conservatories. Thereafter, he got enrolled in a music/acting program at Carnegie Mellon University. The actor got his big break in the year 2008 when he bagged a role in “Adventureland.” He became a part of another film that same year named “Deadtime Stories 2.” Harding found major success in 2010 when he joined the cast of “Pretty Little Liars” as Ezra Fitz. For his performance in this role, he has won eight Teen Choice Awards. In 2010, he also appeared in a film titled “Love & Other Drugs.” Between 2011 and 2022, he acted in numerous television shows and films, such as “Minimum Wage,” “Pale Blue,” “Ford v Ferrari,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Punk’d,” and “Magnum P.I.,” to name a few.
