Background

Salvatore Edward Anthony Vulcano, most famously known as Sal Vulcano, was born on November 6, 1976, in Staten Island, New York City. His parents divorced when he was young. In three episodes of his show, Jenna Vulcano, his sister, appeared in three episodes. She appears in intimate scenes with the other three jokers in every episode. Much to his dismay, this was the price for Vulcano’s failed dares! He attended and graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School in 1994, where he ran into his childhood friends, Mike Boccio, James Murray, and Joe Gatto. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance at St. John’s University in 1998. Additionally, he has co-authored a book that shares the same title as his show, “Impractical Jokers.” His three friends also contributed to the book’s creation. In addition to his earnings as a cartoonist, Vulcano’s book also generates substantial revenue.

He started his career as an improvisational comedian, actor, producer, and playwright in the 1990s. Along with Boccio, Murray, and Gatto, he co-founded the renowned improv and sketch comedy group The Tenderloins. In April 2012, they also began broadcasting the “Tenderloins Podcast.”

His first triumph occurred when he appeared on the N.B.C. comedy show “It’s Your Show,” which was hosted by Carson Daly. After winning the competition, he began to be regarded as a fantastic comic. Along with Gatto, Murray, and Brian Quinn, he was a co-creator of the series “Impractical Jokers,” which gained him instant fame. On December 2011, the series debuted on TruT.V. and follows four friends as they attempt to complete challenges or face punishment. There are cleverly placed hidden cameras to film their antics. The hidden-camera, practical-joke reality series is currently in its sixth season and has been a huge hit with viewers. Additionally, TruT.V. recently announced that it has been renewed for a seventh season. Together with Quinn, Vulcano also hosts a podcast, “What Say You?”, which is popular.
