Alex Wolff was born in New York on November 1, 1997. His first acting gig was in the musical comedy film “The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie.” This was commissioned by Nickelodeon and was a pilot project for what would become the television series “The Naked Brothers Band.” It was a family project as it was created, produced, written, and directed by his mother; his father produced and supervised the music while he co-starred with his brother. Wolff contributed the lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation for both the film and the series. The show released two soundtrack albums.

The brothers continued to grow within the music industry and created the duo, Nat & Alex Wolff. Sticking to music but adding an element of acting, Wolff is later featured in the Fall Out Boy music video “The Take Over, The Breaks Over.” As he got older he returned to acting. Wolff’s cameo roles include a role in the Nickelodeon made-for-television movie “Mr. Troop Mom.” He has also landed a role in the television series “Monk.” His theater performances were not far behind — he appeared in “What Would Woody Do?” shown at The Flea Theater.

Wolff also appeared in the comedy film “The Sitter” and then starred alongside Brendan Fraser in the independent film “HairBrained.” Other film roles included those in the indie drama “Coming Through the Rye,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2,” and “Patriots Day” (where he played the role of terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev). Finally, in 2019, Wolff made his directorial debut with his movie “The Cat and the Moon.” He wrote, directed, and starred in this movie.
