Background

Natalia Gastiain Tena is an English actress and singer whose pure talents have won her loyal armies of fans worldwide. She was born on November 1, 1984, in London to a low-income household. Her mother was a secretary, while her father was a carpenter. Tena is of Hispanic descent but has Extremaduran and Basque heritage. She is a Scorpio by design, raised in the United Kingdom (U.K.), and learned the piano at five. Tena attended Bedales boarding school. When she turned 18, she moved back to London and became a busker on the London Underground. She worked with KneeHigh, a theater group, where she found an interest in the accordion and learned how to play it.

Tena made her film debut in “About a Boy” in 2002, playing Ellie. In 2003, Tena went into acting full-time, playing lead characters in stage adaptations like “Gone to Earth” and “Nights at the Circus” in 2004 and 2006, respectively. In 2007, Tena got a supporting role in the film adaptation of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” where she played Nymphadora Tonks. She reprised this role in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” (2009), “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1” (2010), and its second part in 2011. In April 2011, she was cast as Osha in the H.B.O. series “Game of Thrones.” She also appeared in Lapalux’s music video for ‘Without You.’ By 2015, Tena played the lead role of Jennifer Preston in the mini-series “Residue.”

Tena has appeared in many films and television series. However, she is active not only in the acting world but also in the music world. As the lead singer for Molotov Jukebox, Tena released the band’s debut album “Carnival Flower” in 2014, with the single ‘Neon Lights.’ By 2016, the band’s second studio album, “Tropical Gypsy,” was released, featuring its lead single ‘Pineapple Girl.’ As a successful and famous singer and actress, Tena shares her success with her family. Her personal life is under wraps, but as far as is known, she hasn’t been married and has no kids.
