Jasmine Rae is an established name in country music. She was born Jasmine Eldridge on October 28, 1987, in Melbourne, Australia, to Ian Eldridge and his wife. Her older brother is a bass player. After finishing high school in 2005, she did an advanced diploma in music from Northern Melbourne University of TAFE.

Rae’s career breakthrough arrived in 2008 when she won the Telstra Road to Tamworth country music competition. This got her a recording contract with A.B.C.
