Shauntrell Pender, also known by her stage name Tokyo Jetz, is an American rapper and poet born in Jacksonville, Florida. While not much is known about her younger years and personal life, we know that Pender was an avid poet in school, and first found fame after videos of her freestyling in her car went viral. Rapper T.I. noticed Pender’s potential and signed her to Grand Hustle Records in 2016. In 2017, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a career in music.

When she became part of the record label, Pender was fortunate enough to record with rappers such as T.I. and Travis Scott. In 2017, she toured with the collective as well as released her first album, “Viral”. In 2018, she released two further albums under the record label Grand Hustle, titled “90’s Baby” and “Bonafide”. In 2020, Pender released an extended play “Stimulus Package” and later in 2021 she revealed her fourth studio album, “Cancel Culture.”

Her style has been described as “aggressive, dramatic, a brash,” focusing on the “harsh aspects of street life.” In her other ventures, she has started a skincare company called Nue and has also become somewhat of a social media celebrity. She has an exceptional fanbase of over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and over 200,000 subscribers on YouTube.
