Chrystal Soo Jung is a Korean-American actress and singer, more well known by fans as Krystal, Krystal Jung, or Jung Soo-jung. Jung was born in San Francisco, California after her family immigrated from South Korea in the 1980s. In the early 2000s, Jung and her sister were scouted by talent agents, which afforded Jung a cameo in Shinwa’s “Wedding March” music video. Jung was offered dance and singing lessons, but her parents declined as she was too young. In 2002, she made a few commercial appearances, and later in 2006, her parents allowed her to sign with SM Agency.

In 2009, Jung made her debut in the girl group f(x), where she has sung lead vocals for several singles and soundtracks, and performed in various concerts. In 2010, Jung made her professional on-screen debut in the television series “More Charming By The Day.” Since her first television appearance, she has starred in numerous productions, such as “The Heirs” in 2012, and the Netflix film “Sweet & Sour.”
