Background

Tessica Brown was born in Violet, Louisiana, U.S., on October 20, 1981. While her father’s name is not known to the public, her mother is Jessica Brown. Her father is an ex-serviceman and her mom is a stay-at-home mother. Brown is very close to her parents and often shares pictures of them on social media.

She was brought up and raised in her hometown, where she completed her early education at a local private school. Thereafter she attended a private college in Louisiana and completed her higher education. She then began working as a teacher and taught kids at an elementary school. Brown was leading a ‘normal’ life until 2021 when the famous Gorilla Glue incident took place and completely changed her life.

In early 2021, a video of her went viral in which she applied a high-strength adhesive named Gorilla Glue on her hair as an alternative to hair spray. However, her hair got stuck and remained that way for about a month. Furthermore, the glue stuck to her scalp, which caused her terrible headaches. On February 6, 2021, Brown was taken to the emergency room at Chalmette’s St. Bernard Parish Hospital, where healthcare professionals tried to remove the adhesive from her hair with acetone packs, but in vain. On February 9, 2021, the viral sensation took to Instagram and thanked her supporters, informing them that she will be seeing a surgeon the next day. On February 10, 2021, she visited MiKO Plastic Surgery located in California’s Beverly Hills, where Dr. Michael Obeng, a plastic surgeon, managed to remove the glue from her hair.
