Background

What were you doing at 14 years of age? Well, our birthday boy surfed into the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent. Singer, songwriter, producer, and performer are some of the titles that have graced the Maryland-based star, and we couldn’t be prouder of his hard work and talent. Kelvin Dukes started singing when he was three years old. A passion that took years to progress as a professional skill, Dukes’ love for music comes from his parents.

Hailing from a humble middle-class family, Dukes’ options have always been limited. Although his parents couldn’t afford high-class private tutors, Dukes never let the absence of professional guidance come in the way. He took it upon himself to learn singing by watching music videos on T.V. After performing at several mini-concerts in his community, he enrolled in a local singing competition that solidified his desire to become a singer. At 12 years of age, with a victory already under his belt, Dukes started covering songs by Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Beyonce to perfect his singing chops.

Dukes’ several passions include drawing, acting, and participating in art programs. He is also a regular attendee of the NAACP ACT-SO program at his school. Dukes shares updates on life and music on his social media pages. His studies, arts and craft, and brand endorsements currently keep him engrossed. The incredibly talented young musician has released half a dozen songs since 2020 and plans on releasing a debut album in the coming years. His fans and at least half-a-million followers across all social media channels are rooting for him.
