Matthew Damon is an American actor, film producer, and screenwriter, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Kent Telfer Damon, a stockbroker, and Nancy Carlsson-Paige, a teacher. Damon attended Cambridge Alternative School and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, where he performed in numerous high school drama plays. He began his acting career in the 1988 film “Mystic Pizza” and rose to stardom in 1997 when he and fellow actor, Ben Affleck, wrote and starred in “Good Will Hunting.”

Damon is very famous for portraying the protagonist Jason Bourne in the action-thriller “Bourne Identity” franchise between the years 2002 and 2016. Similarly, between 2001 and 2007, Damon also famously played a con man in “Oceans 11” and subsequent movies, among other. In 2005, Damon met Luciana Bozán. They later married and have three children, Isabella Damon, Gia Zavala Damon, and Stella Damon. In 2015, this talented artist won the Golden Globe Award for ‘Best Actor’ for his role in the movie “The Martian.”

As one of “Forbes” magazine’s “most bankable stars,” he is one of the highest-grossing actors of all time. In 2021, it was revealed that Damon would work with Christopher Nolan on his biographical film “Oppenheimer.” Damon had previously worked with Nolan on the film “Interstellar.” Damon is a massive A-Lister in Hollywood and has the accolades to show for it, such as an Academy Award from four nominations, a Golden Globe Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
