Tommy Wiseau

Background

Thomas Pierre Wiseau, A.K.A. Tommy, is a Polish-American filmmaker and actor whose talents have set him apart in Hollywood. He was born on October 3, 1955, in Poznan, Poland. He is of Polish descent and a Libra by design. Wiseau migrated to the United States to pursue a career in acting. However, he had some odd jobs along the way. He was known to sell toys and also worked as a restaurant busboy.

Wiseau took film classes at Los Angeles Community College, Vince Chase Workshop, Jean Shelton Acting Lab, etc. Wiseau wrote, produced, directed, and starred in “The Room,” released in 2003. The film was rated negatively by critics, but became a cult classic. The following year, he produced and appeared in a short documentary “Homeless in America.” By 2008, Wiseau produced and appeared in a T.V. series called “The Neighbors,” released on Hulu. He also appeared in “La La Land” (2010). The following year, he starred in a YouTube series, “Tommy Explains it All.” In this series, Wiseau explains his views on different topics, from the art of kissing to “Citizen Kane.” In 2015, Wiseau played Linton in “Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance.” By 2017, he starred in “Best F(r)iends,” and in 2019, he starred in a pilot for “SpaceWorld,” an animated web series.

Wiseau is an interesting actor and filmmaker. As someone in the limelight, one would think his personal life is well-known. On the contrary, Wiseau is very private about his personal and family affairs. No one knows if he is married or has children. However, what we do know is that Greg Sestero is his best friend.
