Matthew Quincy Daddario, an American actor born and raised in New York City on October 1, 1987, has risen in popularity in the world of handsome and talented film stars! He is the younger brother of American actress Alexandra Daddario. Daddario attended Collegiate school and, thereafter, enrolled at Indiana University Bloomington, where he graduated in 2010 with a degree in economics. After his graduation, Daddario decided on a different career path and studied acting. In 2013, he successfully landed his first film role in the romantic film called “Breathe In,” and, later that year, in the comedy film “Delivery Man.”

Following his promising performances in his 2013 films, the rising actor landed another role in a 2014 sports drama film called “When the Game Stands Tall” and, in 2015, starred in the comedy-drama “Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List” as Gabriel. Earlier that year, it was revealed that Daddario would play Alec Lightwood in the fantasy series “Shadowhunters.” The story was based on Casandra Clare’s “The Mortal Instruments” series of novels. In 2016, he landed his breakthrough role as a recurring character in the aforesaid fantasy series, and it aired until 2019. Daddario gained much of his recognition from his role in “Shadowhunters” and earned him various award nominations for his performance.

During his role in “Shadowhunters,” the talented actor starred in the “Cabin Fever” horror film in 2016. As his career peaked at the time, Daddario won a 2016 Teen Choice Award in the Breakout Star category and, two years later, another Teen Choice Award in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actor category. In 2020, the award-winning actor went on to star in the television series “Why Women Kill” in its second season. This handsome and talented actor married Esther Kim in 2017, and the couple welcomed their first child together in 2020.
