Alana Frances Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo, was born on August 28, 2005. She is the youngest child of June and Mike Thompson. When she was six, Honey Boo Boo appeared in the T.L.C. network show “Toddlers & Tiara.” The show gave viewers behind-the-scenes views of the world of child beauty pageantry. Honey Boo Boo caught the audience’s eye because she ran all around the stage in her flashy pageant dress while drinking a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew called the “go-go juice.” Everybody loved her antics and wanted more, prompting T.L.C. to give Honey Boo Boo a reality T.V. series deal.

Honey Boo Boo’s show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” launched in 2012 to mostly rave reviews. The show focused on the little girl’s family life and antics, her mom, June; her dad, Mike (“Sugar Bear”); and her sisters: Lauryn (“Pumpkin”), Jessica (“Chubbs”), and Anna (“Chickadee”). People adored the little girl and her family, sharing short videos everywhere to show their interest. The show was popular for two years, but it came crashing down in 2014 when T.L.C. canceled it because of Mama June’s controversial relationship with a sex offender.

Nowadays, Honey Boo Boo is active on her Instagram and frequently appears in her mother’s reality T.V. show “Mama June: From Not to Hot.” In 2018, she appeared in “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors,” in which she survived until the fourth week. Her charismatic personality and good dancing skills made her a fan favorite.
