Alexandra Cooper

Background

Alexandra Cooper was born on August 21, 1994, in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Her father, Bryan Cooper, used to play hockey at the University of Wisconsin. Cooper grew up with her siblings: her sister, Kathryn, and brother, Grant, in her hometown, Newtown, Pennsylvania. She attended Pennington High School. Cooper was a competitive athlete as a high school junior and senior. Her athleticism was noticed by coaches at Boston University, who offered her a sports scholarship.

Cooper accepted the scholarship offer and played soccer for Boston University’s Division-1 women’s team during her four-year degree. She also served as co-captain during her senior year. Cooper led her team to four M.C.T. Championships and won the Prep-A title all four seasons. She also earned All-Prep First Team and All-Area First Team honors as a junior and a senior. However, sports was not the only thing Cooper was good at. During university, she became fascinated with the media and entertainment world. So she decided to make a career in it. She graduated from Boston University with a degree in film and television.

Soon after graduating, Cooper began working as an on-air studio anchor for Dirty Water Media in 2016, spreading the word about her talent. Two years later, she launched a comedy and advice podcast named Call Her Daddy. It talked about sex, sexual relationships, and the culture of New York City. The podcast was an instant hit, generating thousands of dedicated fans within a year. In 2021, Cooper signed an exclusive deal worth $60 million with Spotify. The deal stated that the podcast would be available exclusively on the streaming device.
