Halle Berry, a very well-known name world over, is an American actress and businesswoman. Berry was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and is the daughter of Judith Ann from England, and Jerome Jesse Berry, an African-American. Her parents later divorced when she was four years old, and Berry and her older sister, Heidi Berry-Henderson, grew up with their mother in Oakwood, Ohio. Berry began her career in pageantry in the 1980s, winning Miss Teen All American in 1985 and Miss Ohio USA in 1986. Also in 1986, she was Miss USA’s first runner-up.

In 1989, Berry moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting, where she landed a role in her first movie, “Jungle Fever,” in 1991. Her breakthrough role came in 1992, in the film “Boomerang,” alongside Eddie Murphy. In 1993, Berry married her first husband, professional baseball player David Justice. They later divorced in 1997. In the year 2000, Berry landed another major movie role, this time in the Marvel film, “X-Men.” One year later, in 2001, Berry married her second husband, singer-songwriter Eric Benét. They, too, divorced in 2003. In the late 2000s, Berry starred in several notable films, such as “Gothika,” “X-Men: The Last Stand,” and “Catwoman.”

Berry continued her successful career in the early 2010s, starring in another “X-Men” installment as well as “The Call.” She also married French actor Olivier Martinez in 2010. Berry has furthermore starred in numerous television roles. In 2020, Berry revealed her content and e-commerce platform “Re-Spin,” which focuses on health, wellness, and spirituality.
