Kendu Isaacs

Background

Kendu Isaacs is best known as an American record producer, manager, and music lover. He’s a Leo, born Martin Isaacs, on August 13, 1968. Isaacs is of mixed ethnicity, and he developed an interest in music from a young age.

In 2001, Isaacs was appointed the manager at the Berlin-based artist management company, K.I. Management. In 2003, he made one of his first television appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” He returned for another appearance in 2007. In 2008, Isaacs began working at Matriarch Entertainment. He stayed at this company until July 2016. In 2013, Isaacs executive produced a drama film, “Betty and Coretta,” which starred Angela Bassett. Before this, he also worked on “Tamar & Vince” (2012).

The personal life of Kendu Isaacs has been anything but private. His first marriage was to Maurine in 1991 but the couple divorced in 1999. In 2000, Isaacs began dating singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige. By December 2003, they were married. Blige filed for divorce in July 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. It is known that during their marriage, Blige was plagued by the demons of alcohol, sex, and drug addiction which Isaacs helped her combat. However, the marriage turned sour after Blige alleged that Isaacs was having an affair with another artist he was managing. The ex-couple had a two-year-long divorce, and they eventually settled. Although Isaacs and Blige didn’t have kids together, he has three children, one from a previous teenage relationship and two from his ex-wife Maurine. Isaacs shares his life and success with his children.
