Chris Cuomo

Background

Christopher Charles Cuomo, popularly known as Chris Cuomo, was born in Queens, New York. He is the youngest son of former New York governor Mario Cuomo and Matilda Cuomo. His brother Andrew Cuomo was also governor of New York.

Cuomo attended Immaculate Conception School in Jamaica, Queens, and The Albany Academy, a preparatory school for a private university in Albany, and attended Yale University and Fordham University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. Cuomo has worked as a correspondent and political policy analyst for FOX News and FOX Broadcast Network, where he covered stories focusing on controversial social issues. He co-anchored the show “20/20,” where his year-long coverage of heroin addiction revealed how it was affecting suburban families. The journalist also covered the earthquake in Haiti and countless stories about bullying and homeless teenagers.

Between 2006 and 2009, Cuomo was an anchor on the show “Good Morning America.” On the show, he was the top reporter on breaking news. Cuomo covered the war on terror in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He covered the Virginia Tech shooting, the Fort Hood shooting, and the Pennsylvania Amish school shooting. He live-streamed Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the collapse of the Sago Mine, and the Minneapolis Bridge in 2007. While at A.B.C., he had two weekly shows, “The Real Deal” and “Focus on Faith.” In 2013, Cuomo went to C.N.N. to co-host a morning show. He was a field anchor in February 2013. In 2018, while co-anchoring the morning show “New Day” it was announced that Cuomo would switch to prime time to present “Cuomo Prime Time.” In the year 2018, he went on to host a weekday two-hour radio show “Let’s Get After It.”
