Why We Love Meagan Good
She follows her passions
Apart from being an actress, producer, and director, Good was in a band. In 2010, Good, along with her sister La’Myia, formed an all-girl group called H.E.L.L.O Girls. The four edgy-looking women debuted their single ‘Beep Beep’ on 106 & Park. It’s safe to say that she’s found her inner Rock Girl.
Uses her experiences to mentor the new generation
Meagan’s teenage years were less than idyllic. At the age of 14, she was providing for her family financially, including a brother with special needs. That combined with a series of failed relationships can be a dangerous mix of insecurity and depression. Meagan says that her faith in God has kept her grounded.
A woman of faith
Although not raised in the church, Good is a Christian. She considers herself a spiritual person and has said in various interviews that she declines roles that she feels might "disappoint God." Perhaps it was one of the reasons that she liked DeVon Franklin, who is also a preacher.
Why We Love
Unique family tree
Her grandmother is African and Jewish, her mother’s father is Cherokee, her dad’s mother is African and Puerto Rican, and his father’s from Barbados.

A confident teenager
According to the actress, she grew up "super nerdy, super skinny, buckteeth” and yet she had a sense of confidence about herself and always knew she wanted to be an actress.
She admires Charlize Theron
Although Good didn’t have any role models growing up, in her early adulthood, she began admiring actress Charlize Theron.
