Marcus Jorel Boyd, A.K.A. Max Lux, is a rapper and record producer whose skills have set him apart in the industry. He is a Cancer, born on July 22, 1989, in Los Angeles, California. Boyd is of African-American descent, and he is known in the music industry as the ghostwriter for several high-profile artists such as Ray J and Marques Houston. He is also credited with Lil Wayne’s hit single ‘How to Love.’

In 2011, Boyd released the music video for his single ‘Sitting in my Room.’ However, his first glimpse of the limelight was in 2015 when he got cast in the V.H.1 series “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.” He was a supporting cast member in the show which documented his marriage chronicles and struggles.
