Jack Avery

Background

Jack Robert Avery is a popular and acclaimed music artist whose career kicked off on social media and has never been the same since then. He was born on July 1, 1999, in Burbank, California. He was born to John Avery and Kristin Stanford. He was raised together with his four siblings in a small town known as Susquehanna in Pennsylvania after relocating when he was a year old. When his parents divorced, he and Sydnie, one of his sisters, moved in with their mother, who remarried Darrin Stanford. He went to Susquehanna Community School and grew up in music. His father often played the piano and this piqued his interest in music at a young age.

Later on, as a teenager, when he began being active on social media, he reignited his passion for music and began using social media as a potent aid to put his music out to the world. When he was 14 years old, he started busking in Nashville and sang a Jack Johnson song, ‘Banana Pancakes,’ and got an overwhelming response. Then, he started putting all his efforts into music and began uploading music covers on his YouTube channel. It was through social media that he came across other young and upcoming artists, such as Zach Herron, Jonah Marais, Daniel Seavey, and Corbyn Besson, and created the band Why Don’t We, in which he was actively involved.

Because they had all become well-known as solo artists, it only took them a very short time to become more well-known as a band. “Only the Beginning,” the new album they released, did reasonably well. All of these set Avery’s career on its current path. In 2016, he seized a chance that connected him with IMPACT, a social media tour. This helped him get exposure and fame, which in turn helped sustain his music career. Due to his success and influence over a strong, devoted fanbase that is primarily composed of teenage music fans, he has gone on to perform on large stages and walk red carpets, such as the Teen Choice Awards in 2015.
