Background

Lester Napoleon Green, popularly known as Beetlejuice, is an American comedian and actor whose humor has earned him fans worldwide. He was born on June 2, 1968, in New Jersey to Christopher Palid and Lillie Green and is the second youngest of six children. He was diagnosed with dwarfism and microcephaly as a child, a condition characterized by short stature, skeletal abnormalities, and an unusually small head, as well as an intellectual disability. While attending middle school, was discovered by Sean Rooney, who became his manager when he joined Rooney’s dwarf tossing company. This is where he was given the nickname ‘Beetlejuice.’

In July 1999, he made his debut appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” when Rooney, who was promoting his dwarf-tossing business on the show, took Green along. This is how Green first met Stern, who liked him immediately and invited him onto the show multiple times. Green became a popular guest on Stern’s show. In 2000, Stern even asked him to accept the 17th A.V.N. Award on his behalf, and Beetlejuice gave the acceptance speech.

In 2009, he featured in Stern’s five-episode reality show “This is Beetle,” which debuted on Howard T.V. After a five-year hiatus, Green returned to “The Howard Stern Show” as a guest. In February 2022, his manager launched an N.F.T. on Goldin’s auction platform. This N.F.T. was a physical rookie card signed by Green. It received 21 bids and sold for $15,000.

Many will also recognize Green from the famous “Just Hanging Around” meme, which began in 2023. The video, originally from December 2021, was posted to Instagram by his second manager, Robert Rooney.

One can agree that Green has had quite an unusual but successful career. He has an active social media presence and a massive following. He is currently single and doesn’t have kids.
