Background

Prince Royce has his fan base on lockdown. His wonderful personality, singing skills, and handsome looks have made him the poster boy of Latin music. Life can be challenging, but Prince Royce has kept his head and remained professional despite his challenges. Geoffrey Royce Rojas was born on May 11, 1989, in The Bronx, Bronx County, New York, and his zodiac sign is Taurus. His parents are Ramon Royce and Angela Rojas. His father was a taxi driver, while his mother worked at a beauty salon. He started singing and performing in his early teens, but by the age of 16, he began pursuing music as a career. He studied how Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, and Jennifer Lopez fused American culture with Latin music to make an impact.

In 2010, Prince Royce released his self-titled album, marking the beginning of his career as a professional musician. It was his first published work and it had two successful singles, ‘Stand by Me’ and ‘Corazón Sin Cara.’ The album also reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Top Latin Albums and Tropical Albums charts and earned him three awards in 2011. He released a second album titled “Phase II” in 2012, and it has both English and Spanish songs. Prince Royce would later release “Soy el Mismo” (2013), which also had a favorable reception.

His fourth album, “Double Vision” (2015), was his first album produced exclusively in English, which is his first language, and it featured one of his best-performing singles ever. The album’s first single, ‘Stuck on a Feeling’ (2015), featured Snoop Dogg and became Prince Royce’s best-performing single. He dropped his fifth album, “Five,” in 2017 and his sixth album, “Alter Ego,” in 2020. He got married to Emeraude Toubia in 2018. However, the pair announced recently that they were in the process of getting a divorce.
