Background

Paeka Campos was born in Austin, Texas, on May 1, 2002. Since she was a child, Paeka has wanted to be a professional dancer and actress. She became interested in social media and wanted to use TikTok to show off her dance abilities. She started posting lip-sync and dance videos to her TikTok account in August 2019. When she posted a video with fellow TikTok star Payton King in January 2020, her fame skyrocketed. Her account gained countless followers and likes over the next few months, establishing her as a TikTok star. Her TikTok success aided her in gaining followers on other social media sites such as YouTube and Instagram. She began partnering with her then-boyfriend Gero Hanirias, which greatly assisted her rise to fame as a social media sensation. She even formed a joint YouTube account called “Gero & Paeka,” where she started posting fun videos like challenges and pranks. Meanwhile, she started her personal YouTube channel, which now has over 240,000 subscribers.

She began her acting career when she was ten years old, in 2012. She made her debut in the film “The Girl,” in which she played a minor role. She starred in the thriller “Hidden in the Woods” in 2014. Her big break came in 2015 when she was cast in the Cody Duckworth-directed fantasy horror thriller “Harbinger” as Mira Gonzaga. She also appeared in a few short films in the same year, including “Middle Witch” and “Extra Credit from Hell.” In 2018, she starred in “Goodbye Sirena,” another short film. In 2021, she was cast in the drama film “The Place in Between,” directed by Laura Perez, as Lyra.

She had a relationship with Hanirias, a fellow TikToker. Before splitting up in 2021, they went on to become one of the most popular Internet couples. Although they did not mention the cause of their breakup at the time, she later revealed that it was due to infidelity and that Hanirias had cheated on her. She even went so far as to make a YouTube video explaining why they broke up.
