Jeno

Background

Lee Je-no, or simply Jeno, was born on April 23, 2000, in Incheon, and grew up in Ilsan, South Korea. In Chinese characters, ‘Je’ stands for king and ‘No’ means to work hard. He also has an older sister. Throughout his childhood, he modeled for various commercials in South Korea. In December 2013, he was introduced as one of the first members of S.M. Entertainment’s S.M. Rookies. He first appeared as a member of S.M. Rookies on Exo 90:2014, a reality T.V. show starring Exo, alongside fellow N.C.T. members Mark, Jaemin, Haechan, and Jisung in 2014. He then appeared on Disney Channel Korea’s show “The Mickey Mouse Club” as a Mouseketeer alongside other S.M. Rookies members and the show aired from July 23 to December 17, 2015.

Jeno debuted in the third subunit of N.C.T., N.C.T. Dream, on August 24, 2016. He participated in the first album “N.C.T. 2018 Empathy,” with the singles ‘Go’ and ‘Black on Black.’ S.B.S. M.T.V.’s “The Show” announced him as the new M.C. on May 22, 2018. Besides singing, Jeno began to write lyrics for the song ‘Dear Dream’ alongside members Mark, Jaemin, and Jisung for the N.C.T. Dream’s second E.P. “We Go Up.” Since then he has penned lyrics for several tracks for N.C.T. Dream’s subsequent albums. On March 13, 2019, Jeno, with his N.C.T. Dream members Jaemin and Jisung, participated in the K-Wave & Halal Show in Malaysia. On November 23, 2020, he released their lead track ‘Misfit’ from N.C.T.’s second album, “Resonance Pt. 1.” He later dropped the lead single ‘90’s Love’ from “Resonance Pt. 2.” Jeno was featured in Donghae’s song ‘California Love’ on October 13, 2021.

Jeno is a private person and prefers keeping his personal life away from the limelight. He only appears on social media on the official N.C.T. pages and accounts and doesn’t have a personal social media account.
