Kelsey Weier

Background

Kelsey Weier is quickly climbing the ranks as an influencer and entertainer and there is no stopping her. She is making a name for herself as a media personality and gathering a substantial following online. She was born and raised in West Des Moines, Iowa. She has a younger twin sister Kayla. When they were just in seventh grade, their father left for Mexico and it was until recently that he is rekindling his relationship with them. Weier attended cosmetology school and afterward got a job as a professional color and extensions technician. She also worked as a professional stylist and clothier in the custom clothing corporation, Tom James.

Her interest in pageantry grew because her sister, Kalason took part in the 2014 Miss Iowa Teen U.S.A. competition. She decided to compete in Miss Iowa U.S.A. the following year in 2015 and became the second runner-up to the winner Taylor Even. She came back the next year and competed for the same title. This time she became the first runner-up to Alissa Morrison. She went again in 2017 and competed for the same title as before and this time around she won Miss Iowa U.S.A. 2017. This title opened opportunities for her to compete in bigger pageants such as Miss U.S.A. 2017 but she could not take part in it because of unavoidable circumstances.

Weier kick-started her nationwide influence when she appeared on “The Bachelor” season 24. She acquired national attention for her personality and over-the-top energy. She was however eliminated in week eight by the season’s bachelor, Peter Weber. Weier took the rejection in her stride and later emerged on “Bachelor in Paradise” season seven. She was eliminated after the first week but not after making a huge impact on her fellow cast members and viewers. She later explained that during the one year between “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise,” she went through a self-awareness journey that made her a better person. She was able to treat not only herself better but even the people around her.
