Kathy Hilton

Background

Kathy Hilton is a formidable woman, often defined as a socialite, fashion designer, philanthropist, and television personality. Hilton was born in America, in 1959 and has roots in New York. After her parents’ divorce, her mother, Kathleen Mary, married Kenneth E. Richards; after which Hilton gained two half-siblings, Kim and Kyle Richards. In 1968, at the tender age of nine, Hilton started acting but later gave it up when in 1979, she married Richard Hilton at just 20 years old. They have four children together, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Barron Nicholas Hilton II, and Conrad Hughes Hilton III.

Hilton has worn many hats in her day. Most notably, she began her adult career as a curator at an antique and gifts store called The Staircase on Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles from the 1980s to the early 1990s. In 2002, she began selling her products on the televised shopping network. Her broadcasting experience grew when in 2005 she hosted a reality TV show, “I Want To Be a Hilton.” She also made an appearance on her daughter’s hit show, “The World According to Paris,” in 2011. In 2012, she started her fashion line, the Kathy Hilton Collection of party gowns.

In October 2020, Kathy Hilton guest-starred in the reality T.V. show, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which features her half-siblings. In that same year, Hilton appeared as herself in her eldest daughter’s documentary, “This Is Paris.” Although not heavily centered in the public eye, Hilton still keeps her finger on the pulse, and you can still see her doing cameos in the “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” in 2022.
